When Parenting Feels Heavy and Your Voice Is Lost Amid the Noise

This season can pull on old patterns, stretch your capacity, and make everyday decisions feel big. The load compounds and comparison gets loud, pulling you between resentment and guilt, and leaving you feeling like you’re not measuring up. You’re looking for warm, grounded care to help you feel grounded now while tending to the roots underneath, so change lasts.

At Mother Nurture Therapy Group, we support the full experience of parenthood: the tenderness and frustration, the grief and joy. We don’t believe in “perfect parenting.” We believe in connected relationships, practical plans, and repair that deepens trust. Together, we’ll find a steadier, kinder way forward. One that honors you, your child, and your family values.

The stressors of parenting show up differently for everyone.

You might notice

  • Second-guessing, guilt, or feeling “not enough”

  • Strain with a partner or co-parent

  • Difficulty setting or holding boundaries

  • Reactivity in tough moments: yelling, shutdowns, ruptures

  • Feeling invisible under the mental load

  • Trouble regulating your own emotions

  • Patterns resurfacing that feel familiar from your childhood or family

  • Struggling to balance work, self-care, and family needs

Old patterns can show up in parenting and leave you second-guessing. We’ll help you connect the dots so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

how we can help

We offer warm, attuned support to help you feel more grounded as a parent.

We blend insight with tools, starting with what feels most urgent, so you can feel better now and create change that lasts.

Rooted in attachment and psychodynamic care, we’ll connect past to present so you can choose what to keep and what to gently set down. Together, we’ll map the context shaping your parenting: your history, culture, identities, and the expectations around you. All while teaching practical skills to manage the day-to-day. Therapy here isn’t about “perfect parenting.” It’s about insight, alignment, and repair.

If you’re partnered or co-parenting, we bring a relational lens to shift stuck patterns, strengthen communication and teamwork, and build a shared vision. You’ll leave with language for tough conversations and doable plans for daily rhythms.

Over time, you’ll trust your instincts more and feel more like the parent you want to be. We believe parenting work has the power to change you, your family system, and future generations. We’re here to help you make those changes last.

FAQs

Do you work with both parents together?

Yes. We see individuals, couples, and co-parents. Some families start with one parent; others come together. We’ll tailor the format to what’s most supportive.

We’re separated and communication is tense. Can therapy still help?

Absolutely. We focus on de-escalation, clear roles, boundary-setting, and reliable routines. The goal is to help your child experience as much consistency and support as possible across homes.

We disagree on parenting styles. What if we can’t get on the same page?

We don’t force consensus. We’ll help you identify shared values, create “good enough” agreements for key areas (sleep, screens, school), and learn repair skills when you diverge.

Do you meet with kids too?

Our primary focus is parent coaching and family dynamics. We are happy to collaborate with your child’s providers with your consent, or provide referrals for trusted child/adolescent therapists should your kids need their own support.

Do you take insurance?

We’re an out-of-network practice and can provide superbills for potential reimbursement.

What are your fees?

Our private-pay rates reflect clinician training and expertise, and the time we invest in your care. You’ll receive your therapist’s exact fee before scheduling.

Current ranges:

  • Individual therapy (50 min): $180–$250

  • Couples therapy (50 min): $200–$300

Contact us for more details and to see what might be most supportive for you and your journey.

Do you offer sliding scale fees?

We reserve limited sliding-scale spots based on financial need and therapist availability. If a spot isn’t open right now, we can add you to a waitlist or provide referrals.
